Tremoloco is a L.A. based band that draws from the sounds of Tex-Mex, Country, Zydeco, Folklorico, Folk and Blues in a blend of original and traditional songs best described as Gulf Coast Folklorico.
Instrumentation includes acoustic & electric guitar, acoustic & electric bass, accordion, lap steel, dobro, violin, pedal steel, percussion, as well as some Traditional Mexican instruments such as requinto, jarana, cuatro, guitarron, and bajo sexto.

Adept at playing anything from a Cajun waltz, Texas shuffle, country ballad or rocking blues number to a Mexican polka, ranchero or cumbia this diversity allows the band to cover a wide range of styles. Though based in traditional musical forms the band has a modern edge in both songwriting and musicianship.

A new album scheduled for release
in early 2004 is underway.
It features the single and video, Mi Novela

View Video

A rocking original cumbia that tells the story of a simple man (starring Johnny “Vatos” Hernandez as our hero) whose only guilty pleasure comes from an addiction to novelas (Mexican soap operas). In trying to hide his obsession, (he’s been known to cry while watching) he only succeeds in fueling the suspicions his devoted wife already has. Is he really having an affair?
Does he really cry while watching novelas?
Which would be a greater embarrassment to a macho Latino male:
Infidelity or sensitivity?
